When a person passes on from our physical world, they can no longer earn merit on their own. Reciting kaddish elevates the soul of the deceased and allows them to continue to earn merits.
Kaddish proclaims our allegiance and belief in G-d, and particularly facilitates the acceptance of His will as it pertains to the loss of a loved one.
Kaddish is traditionally recited by the children, siblings or parents but may also be delegated.
It is vital that this prayer is said each day of mourning during the first year after the death of a parent. A Rabbi from the Yeshiva will recite kaddish for the neshama on your behalf.
Sponsorship Opportunities:
Sponsor the kaddish prayer for your loved one for one day
Sponsor the kaddish prayer for your full year of mourning.
Remembrance and dedication opportunities to illuminate a legacy.
Remembrance opportunities:
Purchase a 24-hour candle to light on the yahrzeit of a loved one.
Purchase a plaque with the name of the niftar to be displayed indefinitely on the wall of Telshe Yeshiva.
Remember Telshe Yeshiva when saying yizkor.
These sponsorship opportunities help enable the aliyah of the neshama and support the Yeshiva, contributing to the continuation of Torah study and yiddishkeit at large.
Founded in 1875 in Telsiai, Lithuania and transplanted to Cleveland, Ohio in 1941, Telshe Yeshiva is one of the longest established Jewish institutions for higher learning in the world. Reborn from the ashes of the Holocaust, Telshe represents the eternal flame of Am Yisrael and the endurance of our precious Torah heritage. Alumni of the Rabbinical College of Telshe dot the Jewish international landscape as educators and laymen who impact their students and communities every day.
Your partnership with Telshe Yeshiva enables the education of today’s students, who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
Uplift a Neshama.
